A grand jury has decided not to indict four officers potentially involved in the death of Dontay Ivy.

Ivy died after police used a taser on him in April of this year.

Officials later determined that Ivy had a heart condition and that condition, they say, contributed to his death.

Although questions remain about exactly why Ivy was stopped, Albany County District Attorney David Soares says that the case against the officers was about the cause of Ivy's death, and not why he was confronted by the officers in the first place.  Police had said that Ivy was walking suspiciously and appeared to be walking as though he were armed.  That, however, was not the case.

Aside from the police officers, no other witnesses stepped forward to assist with the investigation.
