A Frankfort woman is being charged with drunk driving and leaving the scene of a personal inury accident after an incident on Route 12 in Utica.

A man driving on the entrance ramp to Route 12 North at State Street when the driver of another car attempted to pass him on the one lane road.

Utica Police say the one car appeared to hit the other before the driver drove up the median and came to a stop at approximately 2:30am on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

The driver of the car that was hit says that both drivers then got out of their cars and he told the woman driving the other car that he had called police.  He told police that she appeared to be nervous and got back into her car.  Thinking that she was going to leave, the male driver says that he spoke with the passenger in the woman's car and tried to convince her to stay.  Police say she then put the car in drive and hit the man who was standing next to the car.

Police were able to find the suspect and her car at the Price Chopper in North Utica.

The responding officer was concerned about the woman's ability to drive and performed a sobriety test.  Police say results of the test showed that the woman, 27-year old Danielle Jaquish of South Frankfort Street in Frankfort, had a blood alcohol concentration of .17%.
