Alleged Drunk Driver Arrested In State Police Academy Parking Lot

An Albany man picked the wrong place to stop for a snooze.

49-year old Patrick French was arrested for drunk driving in the parking lot of the State Police Academy in Albany.

State Police say French stopped his vehicle in the parking lot and got out to lay down in a grassy area behind the Academy.

Troopers noticed he had an odor of alcohol on his breath and impaired motor coordination.

Police say a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of.28 percent, more than three times the legal limit.

French was charged with aggravated DWI.
