A Utica man may pay a high price for beef jerky.

A man suspected of stealing beef jerky from two convenience stores is now facing charges in Utica.

Police took 51-year-old John Kaminski of Leah Street in Utica into custody on Sunday, April 19, 2015.

Kaminski was located on Columbia and Varick Streets by Officer Charles Parkosewich.

The UPD says that Kaminski was charged with petit larceny for one of the alleged thefts and was issued traffic tickets.

Additional charges are pending in the second case.
