American Pharoah Scheduled to Race at 2015 Travers in Saratoga Springs

It is the news for which many race fans have been waiting.

Triple Crown winner American Pharoah will be racing at the 2015 Travers.  The New York Racing Association (NYRA) made the announcement on Sunday that the champion thoroughbred will race at America's third oldest race track.

Owner Ahmed Zayat tweeted at 12:13pm on August 23, 2015, "Saratoga here we come!!!!!!!"

Bringing the horse to Saratoga, considered by many to be the "Graveyard of Champions" both for the horses buried there and for the fact that many a champion hrose has lost at the track, shows trainer Bob Baffert's confidence in the colt.

Of the contest The New York Times' Joe Drape says that "...Baffert told TVG Network, 'If you have a seat at Saratoga, I wouldn’t sell it.'”

The 146th Running of the Travers takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
