Amsterdam Woman Accused of Stealing $50K From Her Employer

An Amsterdam woman is being held at the Montgomery County Jail for allegedly stealing fifty thousand dollars from her employer.

New York State Police in Fonda have arrested 51-year old Theresa A. Carter, charging her with second degree larceny for allegedly taking money from Bartyzel Incorporated over a period of several years.

Bartyzel is a trucking company and beer wholesaler / distributor located on Genessee Lane in Amsterdam, New York.

Carter is being held on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on February 13, 2014 to answer the charge.
