CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — An Amtrak train was delayed after hitting a vehicle that was on the tracks in South Carolina, north of Charleston.

Amtrak spokeswoman Christina Leeds told The Associated Press in an e-mail early Monday that there were no injuries to the train's passengers or crew and that the train was delayed for three hours before continuing north.

It was not immediately known if anyone in the vehicle on the tracks was injured.
