New York, NY (WIBX) -After 33 years, legendary broadcaster Andy Rooney delivered his last regularly scheduled commentary on last night's "60 Minutes." The 92-year-old began his essays on the news magazine show back in 1978, with reflections about death statistics and car accidents.

In more than a thousand broadcast editorials, Rooney offered his sardonic take on current events and personalities. The Albany, NY native joined CBS back in 1949, he won a Peabody Award in 1975 for his efforts producing "Mr. Rooney Goes to Washington".
