New York, NY (WIBX)-  The last time they played it was an historic 6 overtime battle.  This time it was an epic overtime finish, but Cuse could not prevail, losing 76-71.   The difference was Kemba Walker, with yet again an outstanding performance.   Down by 6 with less than 30 seconds on the clock,  Syracuse's Scoop Jardine hit two 3-pointers to send the game into overtime, shades of a game played 2 years ago.  However,  once in overtime Cuse manged only 3 points and Scoop missed a rushed, long 3 point attempt with 13 seconds left that would of tied the game.   UCONN had their revenge.  Kemba Walker prooved yet again why he deserves consideration for NCAA player of the year, finishing with 33 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.  A far stretch from when he was held to a season low 8 points the last time these teams  faced.  In this game, Walker set the record for most points scored during a single Big East Tournament, with a total of 111 points scored during UCONN's current 4 game run.     Syracuse was led by Kris Joseph with 20 points to go along with his 9 rebounds while Scoop Jardine also tied for the team high with 20 points.  In the first year every team in the conference has been involved in the Big East Tournament, UCONN will try to set a precedent being the first team to win all 5 games including the championship.  UCONN will face Louisville  in the Big East Championship game after Louisville defeated Notre Dame 83-77 in overtime.
