Another Fantasy Website Stops Taking Bets In New York

Following Monday's announcement that FanDuel and DraftKings would stop taking bets in New York, another daily fantasy sports website is joining in.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Yahoo has informed his office that it will do the same.

He says New York law has long prohibited sports wagering, including betting on daily fantasy sports.  Schneiderman says he will continue to enforce the law vigorously and he's glad the companies have agreed to follow it.

The agreement with FanDuel and DraftKings  provides an expedited path to resume business should the legislature change existing laws, or a judge rules in the companies' favor.
