April Is National Donate Life Month

New York (WIBX) - The New York State Association of County Clerks is teaming up with the New York Alliance for Donation to promote organ donation.

April is National Donate Life month. The New York State Donate Life Registry is three times below the national average, at only 11-percent.

In 2010, Madison County Department of Motor Vehicles registered 2,973 organ donors.

During this month, brochures, posters, and enrollment forms will be placed in DMVs throughout the state, alerting customers of the donor crisis and asking them to enroll in the Life Registry.
