Utica Comets forward Darren Archibald has undergone successful surgery after suffering a facial fracture.

Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson says Archibald sustained a fracture to his cheek bone during a November 8th game against the Charlotte Checkers.

Archibald was sent to a specialist in Toronto and had surgery on Wednesday

He's expected to make a full recovery and is expected return to the ice in four to six weeks.
