Another candidate is throwing his hat into the ring for Mayor of Utica.

Matthew Arcuri, Sr. announced his candidacy today.

Arcuri is a life-long Utica resident and is a current employee of the Utica School District.

He's been endorsed by the Conservative and Republican parties and pledges to represent all members of the community regardless of party affiliation.

“My campaign will not focus on my opponents, their intentions, their successes or failures, but rather it will focus on creating an open government where the creative ideas of all its residents will be shared, considered and explored” said Arcuri.  “I care deeply about the city where I’ve been a life-long resident, recognize its attributes in both its resources and its people and know that this City has an unlimited potential if unleashed.”

Councilman Joe Marino and Mayor Robert Palmieri have also announced their intentions to run.
