Marcy, NY (WIBX ) - Adidas is pulling a sneaker set to debut in August that featured plastic shackles.  Critics jumped on the design, saying that the cuffs brought up memories of slavery, or incarceration.

There was enough of a public outcry that Adidas shelved the own launch.  The picture that appears with this story was even removed from Adidas' Facebook page after it had been downloaded so many times.
