A man suspected of dealing heroin from the parking lot of a fast food restaurant is now in police custody.

34-Year old Wilson Jimenez-Rentas of Dudley Avenue in Utica was arrested on Friday, September 12, 2014 for allegedly attempting to deal heroin from the back of his minivan while parked at the Wendy's located at 175 North Genesee Street in Utica.

Utica Police say they had been surveilling Jimenez-Rentas after suspecting that he was involved in drug dealing.

At the time of his arrest he allegedly had thirteen glassine envelopes of heroin with him in the van.

The UPD's Metro Narcotics Unit was assisted by US Marshals.

Jimenez-Rentas has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (a felony) and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
