SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they've made an arrest in a shooting in Syracuse last weekend that left one person dead and another suffering from gunshot wounds.

Syracuse police say 31-year-old Jermaine Jennings turned himself in to homicide detectives Tuesday and was charged with second-degree murder.

Authorities say the charges stem from a shooting that occurred around 4:50 a.m. Saturday on McKinley Avenue. Police say 35-year-old Iric Green of Syracuse was pronounced dead by paramedics.

A 26-year-old woman had been shot in the leg. She has since been released from the hospital.

Jennings is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center. It couldn't be determined if he has a lawyer.

Police haven't released a motive for the shooting.
