Assembly Expected To Pass Medical Marijuana Bill
Albany, NY (WIBX) - Could medical marijuana become legal in New York?
A bill that would legalize marijuana for medical purposes passed the Assembly Health Committee this week and will likely head to a full Assembly vote before the end of the legislative session in mid-June.
Governor Cuomo has previously said he was opposed to legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes, but recently said he was studying the issue.
The Senate has never voted for such a bill.
