The New York State Assembly has passed legislation that would delay hydrofracking permits in New York until May of 2015.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the measure would also require a comprehensive health impact assessment be completed by a SUNY school and be made public no later than April 15 of 2015.

Brindisi says the bill would also give the legislature time to review the Department of Environmental Conservation's Environmental Impact study once it's finalized.
