Sony may be releasing the controversial movie 'The Interview' after all.

The studio is reportedly going to announce plans to release the movie to participating theater and through video-on-demand services.

The Plaza theater in Atlanta and the Alamo Drafthouse in Texas have both said they plan to run the movie, and a national coalition of independent movie theaters Art House Convergence told Sony that its members also want to screen 'The Interview' in their theaters.

This comes after Sony took a lot of criticism for deciding to pull the movie last week.

'The Interview' stars Seth Rogan and James Franco in a satirical plot to assassinate North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un.
