Attorney General Addresses Wrongful Convictions

Albany, NY (WIBX) -  Only one person wins when the wrong person is convicted of a crime, and that's the perpetrator. That's what New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says.

To correct the problem Schneiderman has established a Conviction Review Bureau which he says will help prevent innocent people from being penalized for crimes they did not commit.

The Attorney General said that he hopes that the new bureau will serve as a national example and lead the way toward enhancing faith in the justice system.
