Urban Meyer has been hired as the head coach of the Ohio State football program, the AP reports. Multiple sources have estimated that Meyer, who won two national championships while coaching the University of Florida, will sign a multi-year contract paying him $6 million per year. Meyer, an Ohio native, will be formally announced at a news conference at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
New Orleans 49 – N.Y. Giants 24
Drew Brees threw for 363 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another score, and the New Orleans Saints beat the New York Giants 49-24 on Monday night. The loss was the third in a row for New York (6-5), which dropped a game behind first-place Dallas in the NFC East
