Albany, NY (WIBX) - Authorities have arrested 39 people in connection with a statewide cocaine distribution ring.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says the arrests are the result of a nine-month investigation.

Schneiderman says the ring transported cocaine from the New York City area and Buffalo to be sold in Syracuse, Cortland and Watertown.

Police seized over one-million dollars worth of cocaine after executing search warrants at several locations early this morning.

The arrests were part of a multi-agency investigation dubbed "Operation Southbound."
