Utica, NY (WIBX) - An autopsy confirms the cause of death was drowning, but State Police are still probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a 52-year-old woman in Marcy.

Debra Sadigh - who lived in Utica - was found last night, face down in a pond on Seavy Road.

Capatin Mark LIncoln says they're now working to determine if her death was accidential or something else.

"The thing that makes it suspicious is that it wasn't like she fell off a boat or a peer. There was nobody that we found that saw her go in the water. We have to pin down the time frame when this might have occurred and the events that led up to it to determine if [this] was anything more than an accidental drowning," State Police Captain Mark Lincoln said Tuesday, updating the investigation.

The property is owned by Sadigh's boyfriend, who Lincoln says is cooperating with the investigation.

Lincoln says there is a house on the property that is currently under construction.
