She is being described as "energetic and playful," but that was not the case weeks ago when the dog known as "Autumn" came to the attention of the Stevens Swan Humane Society.

"She is doing very well," says John Treen, shelter manager at the society, so well in fact that applications are now being accepted for her adoption.

Autumn was brought to Stevens Swan in September of this year, severely malnourished with only bones in her stomach and a shoelace tied around her neck.

Anyone who is interested in adopting Autumn, or any other animal, can call the shelter at: (315) 738.4357 or visit them at: 5664 Horatio Street in Utica. Treen says that there has been a lot of interest in adopting Autumn, and he expects her to find a good home quickly.
