Boy, does the NFL need more stories like this right now.

As the fallout of the league's handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence incident - and the subsequent video release - continues to reflect poorly on pro-football, comes a true feel good story. And, please don't take that to mean I am suggesting it's being done to garner a good headline.

The Cincinnati Bengals recently decided to cut defensive tackle Devon Still from its roster but left him on the team's practice squad - sort of.

Still isn't actually only the practice squad. He doesn't have time. His four-year-old daughter is battling cancer and, rightfully so, that is his focus in life right now.

But the team kept him on the payroll so he would continue to have an income to help pay for her costly treatment and care.

Not only have they kept him on the payroll, they're still selling his jerseys with all proceeds going to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital and to benefit pediatric cancer care and research, according to NBC's Pro Football Talk.
