Biffle Wins At Texas, Extends Sprint Cup Points Lead

Sprint Cup points leader Greg Biffle took his first checkered flag in 49 races, overtaking Jimmie Johnson with about 30 laps to go at Texas Motor Speedway and winning the Samsung Mobile 500.

Saturday nights race was the first under the lights this season.

Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth finished 2-through-5.

Kenseth and Dale Jr. are tied for second in the standings, each 19 points behind Biffle.

Next Sunday, NASCAR heads to the site of Biffle’s last win, Kansas Speedway, for the STP 400.
