The mayor said a warning letter was sent to the owner of the Ice House, the West Side nightclub where the November 15 assault occurred.

Speaking on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, David said the city is "working to address many of the issues" involving the establishment.

A Binghamton University student was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck in the head with an object.

No arrests have been made in connection with the attack. The mayor said city police detectives received some tips in the case after a reward was posted for information.

Cameras are mounted outside the bar at 15 Charlotte Street. David would not say whether investigators have been able to utilize any video from those cameras or any cameras inside the nightclub.

The owner of the Ice House could not be reached for comment on the city's threat to use the "Lockdown Law" to shut down the business.

The mayor has said the city may go to court to seek the closure of the bar because of its history of fights and assaults.
