Legal actions against Binghamton Mayor Richard David’s girlfriend in an alleged assault case at a downtown bar early New Year’s Day has been dismissed.

The actions against Ericka Aminalee brought by Daisy Dawson were dismissed after Aminalee’s lawyer argued his client had not been properly served with papers indicating she would be part of the case.

Aminalee was accused of hitting Dawson with a glass outside a bar during New Year’s Eve Celebrations.

Meanwhile, legal action is still filed against the mayor.

David is accused of contacting Dawson’s employer WBNG TV, for which he formerly worked as a reporter, allegedly urging the station management to pressure Dawson to drop the case.

A trial date is expected to be announced in November.
