Binghamton Police Investigate Downtown Shooting

Police were looking for a suspect in connection with a reported shooting incident in downtown Binghamton.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Two shots reportedly rang out on Susquehanna Street near Carroll Street around 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Investigators were told that a man armed with a revolver was chasing another man.

Witnesses said the man who was being pursued was last seen running on Fayette Street toward Court Street.

There was no indication that anyone was hit by the gunfire.

Binghamton Police officers and detectives were interviewing people in the area to develop information on a possible suspect.
