Body Found In Barge Canal In LIttle Falls [UPDATE]

State Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the Barge Canal in Little Falls.

The body of a man was found early this morning near Lock 17.

No other information is being released at this time.

UPDATED 3:23 pm- State Police have released the name of the man whose body was pulled from the Barge Canal in Little Falls this morning.

Police say a State Canal Corporation worker saw the body of 48-year old Ernest Hoke, Junior of Herkimer floating in the canal near Lock 17.

The body was taken to Little Falls Hospital for an autopsy.
