EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities are investigating what they're calling a suspicious death of a man whose body was found inside a vehicle in western New York.

Investigators say the man was found dead in an East Rochester parking lot around 7 p.m. Sunday. Chemicals were found on the car that prompted officials to call for a hazardous materials team.

Sam DeRosa, chief of the local hazardous materials team, tells the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (http://on.rocne.ws/2aEYj5Z ) crews removed the person from the vehicle but he didn't disclose what chemicals were found on the car.

Police ruled the death suspicious but didn't disclose the cause of death or how long the body may have been there.

Authorities didn't immediately identify the man.
