Body of Missing Singer, Hunter, Found in Oklahoma
For more than ten days rescuers have been searching for a man who went duck hunting with his friend in Oklahoma.
Craig Strickland was the lead singer for the country band Backroad Anthem. He and his friend, Chase Morland, had disappeared on Sunday, December 27, 2015.
Strickland's dog was found - alive - the next day beside the body of Morland.
Strickland's body was recovered on Monday, January 4, 2016 on the banks of Oklahoma's Kaw Lake. On Instagram Strickland's wife thanked those who prayed for her family saying, "We can finally rest knowing that he is at Home in Heaven with his Father. The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in. He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep. They found him in lying in the shape of a cross looking up to his Father."
The two friends were caught in a storm that set in as their hunting trip began.
