PULASKI, N.Y. (AP) — Crews have recovered the body of a 34-year-old upstate New York man who went missing while swimming in Lake Ontario this weekend.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (http://bit.ly/2bdTSPU ) that Brandon Gould's body was recovered at 12:30 a.m. Monday along the lake's shoreline.

Gould was visiting family Saturday evening in the Oswego County town of Richland when he decided to go swimming. Witnesses told sheriff's deputies they saw the Pennellville man struggle to stay above water before disappearing beneath the surface.

Emergency personnel searched for Gould through the weekend. His body was recovered about a half-mile from where he was swimming.

The investigation into his death is continuing.
