Boil Water Advisory In Herkimer To Last All Weekend

A boil water advisory will continue through the weekend for the entire Village of Herkimer water district.

A break in the 100 year old main water line that feeds the village on Thursday afternoon caused damage to a few homes and flooded some low lying areas.

Herkimer Water Superintendent Scott Blais joined WIBX's First News With Keeler in the Morning where he said a few tests have to be run before the boil water advisory can be lifted, and the results probably won't be in until Monday.

The water main break and boil water advisory affect all of the Village and Town of Herkimer as well as Manion Heights and East Herkimer.
