Boilermaker 5K Hits Cap

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Boilermaker 5-K race has hit its 4,000 runner limit, 19 days before the race.

That represents the largest field in the race's history, surpassing the previous record by 1,000 runners.

This year, the 5-K will have a new starting time, with the race beginning at 7:15.

The 15-K hits it 13,000 runner cap in May.

The 34th running of the Boilermaker takes place on Sunday, July 10th.
