Boilermaker Field Continues To Grow

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The number of entries for the Boilermaker is nearing 9,000.

As of Monday, 8,838 runners had signed up for the 15-K race.

Last year at this time, 2,885 runners were registered.

There is a cap of 13,000 runners this year.

Race officials say the current number of entrants would represent the 12th largest Boilermaker field in history.

Applications are available online at www.boilermaker.com or at the Distance Running Hall of Fame on Genesee Street.

The 34th running of the Boilermaker will take place on Sunday, July 10th.
