Boilermaker Field Over Half Full

Utica, NY (WIBX) - With just over three months until the Boilermaker, 6,714 runners have already signed up for the 15-K race.

Last year at this time, just over 2,000 runners had registered.

There's a cap of 13,000 this year.

Race officials say 35% of this year's entrants are first-time Boilermaker runners.

Applications are available at www.boilermaker.com and at the Distance Running Hall of Fame on Genesee Street in Utica.

The 34th running of the Boilermaker will take place on Sunday, July 10th.
