Boilermaker Officials Hoping For A Blizzard In July

Boilermaker officials are hoping for a "white out" at this year's race.

Following in the tradition of many sports, including the Utica Comets, the Boilermaker will be conducting a white out of the 9.3 mile course.

A limited edition t-shirt proclaiming "I Made it Snow in July" will be available for $10 at boilermaker.com or at A & P Master Images on Water Street in Utica.  Proceeds form T-shirt sales will be used to support local Boilermaker youth health and wellness initiatives.

It's believed to be the first time a white out concept has been attempted for a major road race.

The 2015 Boilermaker takes place on Sunday, July 12th.
