Utica, NY (WIBX) - The 35th running of the Boilermaker is in the books and race officials say they're pleased with the results.

At today's post-race news conference, Executive Director Tim Reed thanked the many volunteers and those who lined the course, who he says make the race "special."

Reed says he was incredibly disappointed that he had to cancel Saturday's 3-mile walk because of the weather.

He says those who signed up for the walk will have two choices.

They can have their entry fee refunded, or the money will to the Neighborhood Center

Reed say they'll be notifying all the walkers within the next two weeks.

11,360 runners finished Sunday's 15-K race. the second highest total ever.

You can mark you calendar for the 2013 Boilermaker, which will take place on Sunday, July 14th.
