Boilermaker To Award New Scholarship

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Boilermaker officials have announced a new scholarship award for this year.

Executive Director Tim Reed says the $5,000 Violet Morris Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a local high school senior who is planning on attending a local college.

Reed says Violet died of cancer in January and was an individualwho realized both the importance of education and self sacrafice.

Applications forms are available at www.boilermaker.com.

Completed applications must be faxed to the Boilermaker office no later than Friday,  June 3rd.
