Another Boilermaker is in the books.

Boilermaker officials held a post-race news conference today.to put a wrap on the race.

President Tim Reed says the additional security measures put in place worked well.

Reed says it will serve the race very well in the future beyond what happened at the Boston Marathon.

Meanwhile, the heat and humidity at Sunday's Boilermaker kept medical personnel busy.

Boilermaker Medical Director Doctor John DeTraglia says 287 runners required medical treatment.

He says those numbers were up from previous years.

11,371 runners finished Sunday's 15-K race.
