Madison, NY - A Bouckville man is in jail after he was stopped for allegedly using his cell phone while driving.

A license check by State Police revealed that 25-year old Douglas Deraway was driving with a suspended license.

When the trooper tried to arrest him, he resisted, causing minor injuries to both himself and the trooper.

Deraway was eventually charged with resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operations, and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone.
