Another candidate has thrown their hat into the ring for the seat being vacated by Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi.

Republican Dennis Bova announced his candidacy for the 119th District Assembly seat Friday afternoon at Tiny's Grill in Utica.

Bova was born and raised in Utica and is a 1992 graduate of Notre Dame High School.

He's been endorsed by the Oneida County Republican Committee.

Democrats Chris Salatino and Marianne Buttenschon are also running for the Assembly seat.

Brindisi will face Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in the November election.
