UPDATE: 12/03/2015  2:07am - The San Bernardino Police chief is announcing that the suspects have been identified as 28-year-old American-born Muslim Syed Rizwan Farook, and 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik. No other information is available at this time.

UPDATE: 12/02/2015 8:00 p.m. - Police report the following:  2 suspects have been shot and killed, one woman and one man. Both were dressed in military gear and carried hand guns and rifles. Police called the weapons "assault type guns."

Original Story:

Reports of pipe bombs being thrown at police are unfounded.

One police offer was shot, but injuries are not life threatening.

Package left behind at original crime scene is believed to be a bomb. A bomb squad is carefully handling the scene.

FBI- Agents are searching a house, tied to suspects.

"I am still not willing to say that it is for sure.  It is a possibility; but, we're not willing to go down that road yet," according to an FBI spokesperson.

There is a 3rd suspect.  It is unknown of that person's whereabouts.  The 3rd person was seen running away.  "We have that person detained," said police.  "We are not sure if the third person is connected to the other 2 suspects."  Police are interrogating the third suspect.

Police: We feel confident about the neighborhood that we have secured that area.  On a broader scale, if there were more people involved, that aspect is still under investigation.

Update: 5:00 p.m. - Police confirmed up to 14 dead, several injured. Up to 3 shooters fled scene in black SUV. "These were people that came prepared," police say.

"This is an active investigation. Some of the information we give out now, may change in the future," police say.

Authorities will not confirm if this was a terrorist attack at this time.  More details to follow.

ABC 7 is at the scene and is reporting 1 to 3 shooters and up to 12 fatalities; however, other news outlets are reporting to to 20 victims, according to police officials in San Bernardino.

Witnesses have told members of the media that the shooters were heavily armed with body armor. They claimed that the shooters exited the scene in a black SUV and that police bomb squads are looking at a suspicious package left on the 2nd floor.

Update: Local TV reporting 12 people have been killed, additional injured.
