Utica Police are investigating the robbery of the Adirondack Bank on the corner of Elizabeth and Genesee Streets in downtown Utica this  morning.

Public Safety Commissioner Dan Labella says the robbery occurred about 11AM however, he won't say whether a weapon was used. He did indicate that police have good quality video and still images of the suspect.

Utica police released a general description of the suspect on its Facebook page at around 1:15 this afternoon.  He is a white male, between 5' 6'' and 5' 8'' tall and was wearing light blue jeans, light brown or gray jacket, hood, and brown boots. Any with information as to who is responsible is asked to call (315) 223-3510.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of case and officials say they will release more information including surveillance footage today.
