Fire at Apartment Building in Whitesboro [PHOTOS]

UPDATE 03/11/2014 12:05pm A few residents of the Mary Buck Apartments in Whitesboro were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in one of the apartments this morning.

The fire chief says he is not certain if the injuries are fire or smoke related.

The Mary Buck Apartment complex houses primarily those aged 55 and older.

WIBX's Jeff Monaski is on the scene of a suspected fire at the Mary Buck Apartments on Main Street in Whitesboro.

A window has been knocked out of the building and emergency personnel are on site.

There is evidence of a smoke smell but no flames are visible.

The Whitesboro, Maynard, New York Mills, and Yorkville Fire Departments responded to the fire.
