UPDATE: Person Shot In West Utica Uncooperative With Police

Utica Police are on the scene of a reported shooting in West Utica earlier this afternoon.

An ambulance was called to the Mathews Street area, but little else is known at this time.

Sergeant Steve Hauck could only confirm an incident had occurred in the area.

More information will be released when it becomes available.

UPDATE: 8:40 p.m. - Utica Police continue to investigate a shooting on the 900 block of Churchill Avenue.

Officials responded to the area at around 3:30 on Monday afternoon. When they arrived, they met with a person who had been shot in the upper leg.

They say the victim is being uncooperative and not providing much information.
