A local state lawmaker is inviting the head of the Film House production company to visit the Utica area.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi has written to the Film House's President and CEO Ryan Johnson, asking him to consider Utica and the surrounding area for scenes in the company's upcoming film.

Brindisi says the Old Main Building, Forest Hill Cemetery and frontage on the Erie Canal are several assets he's hoping Johnson will consider for upcoming productions.

The Film House will be moving to Dewitt and is set begin production on the film "The Opium War" this summer.
