Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente say the state's plan for the Adirondack Railway Corridor is on the wrong track.

Brindisi says ending the Adirondack Scenic Railway in Tupper Lake could cost the Mohawk Valley region millions in tourism dollars.

He says the plan should include full rail service to Lake Placid.

Brindisi and Picente are asking the DEC and DOT to hold a second public hearing that would be accessible to residents who live along the southern end of the Railway Corridor.  Right now, only one public hearing is scheduled in Tupper Lake.

Oneida County Tourism has passed a resolution in support of the rehabilitation of rail service from Remsen to Lake Placid.
