A local state lawmaker is continuing his push to help local co-packaging businesses across central New York expand and add jobs.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says that can be done by bridging the gap in food preparation and packaging that exists between downstate and upstate.

Brindisi recently traveled to Brooklyn and met with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and several companies looking to find an in-state opportunity for co-packaging.

He's asking any interested local companies to contact his office and join in the effort.

The assemblyman presented his plan today at the annual Chamber Alliance meeting in Rome.
